Lahdelma & Mahlamäki architects announced as winners of the Helsinki High-Rise Competition
We’re extremely exited to announce that we have been chosen as winners of the Helsinki High-Rise competition, alongside construction company YIT, to develop a new city centre for the Pasila district of Helsinki.
Our scheme, named Trigoni, will see not only the phased construction of mixed-use towers, based on an elegant triangular plan, but also the development of huge areas of public space, parks, commercial activities, cultural centres, residential units, offices… you name it.
The team has worked tirelessly over the past couple of years to create a proposal that will truly benefit the existing and new residents (and visitors) of Pasila. Trigoni’s core ideals focus on several aspects: Creating density, thus constant activity and life; a huge mix of programmes, people and choices; and easy access, not only to transport systems or homes, but to all the services on site through cutting-edge smart systems that will be integrated throughout the entire scheme.
We will be bringing you much more information over the coming week, but for now check out the proposal on the official Trigoni website:
